At East Lancashire Alliance, we support primary care teams to build the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to deliver high-quality patient care. Our training and development service is designed to meet the needs of practice and PCN teams. Whether clinical or non-clinical, we create opportunities for staff at all levels to learn, connect, and grow.
What we offer
We offer a varied programme of training, events and shared learning opportunities throughout the year, including:
- Clinical education sessions on key topics such as menopause, paediatric care, ADHD, and long-term condition management
- System training and support, including EMIS user groups delivered in partnership with MLCSU and EMIS, helping staff get the most from complex clinical systems
- Protected Learning Time (PLT) events, bringing teams together to focus on priority areas such as improving patient wellbeing and promoting physical activity in practice
- Essential skills training, including Basic Life Support and Information Governance
- Workforce development sessions covering national priorities and emerging topics, such as the NHS 10-Year Plan
- Primary Care working groups, creating space for collaboration, shared problem-solving and peer learning
Online learning
In addition to our live training sessions, we also offer a range of on demand learning sessions through our online portal. These cover topics including:
